Last I heard Nancy works for the United States government and not just the president. I would hope if she gets peace in Iraq everyone would just be happy and not worry about taking credit for it. But to be honest I dont see that happening. The peace that is.

Well Hippie, certainly she could negotiate peace, but only via the Left's definition of peace. Def: The complete lack of conflict at any cost. Those costs are surrender, defeat, allowing dictatorships to enslave, kill, treat women as animals, sell children for sex, attack their neighbors (ignore this, allow for eventual peace even via genocide), and the development of WMD and the threat to use said weapons to destroy the world. Call this the "stick your head in the sand" plan for peace. Jimmy Carter would advocate it.
Personally, I doubt that Pelosi could negotiate her way out of a large paper bag. She does look very nice in her Muslim scarf however, too bad it wasn't emblazoned with the Hezbollah logo, as this would have been more fitting.
Perhaps the next time someone tries to break into your house and kill you and your loved ones, you should forget about the police and try "negotiating" your way out of death, huh?

When her tactics pay off and Osama Bin Laden is president, will you still be a card carrying Democrat?
All she is doing is thumbing her nose at the president. She's lording it over him. She thinks the let's talk to these poor misunderstood countries bullshit is going to work. What a babe in the woods. Those people will eat her alive. They were only gracious because they know she was making the president look like a fool. They love that kind of stuff.
If she thinks they're so peace loving, maybe they can make her a naturalized citizen.
She has no right to try and establish foreign policy with a terrorist nation. Remember us? We don't negotiate with terrorists.

Nancy CANNOT LEGALLY negotiate with a other government when she is not authorised to negotiate. Didn't you learn that from Fonda during 'Nam. Old Jane claimed she had negotiated peace with the North Vietnamese, but couldn't do it for the Government. Yes, she is House Speaker whiner, but she is not in charge of negotiations with other country's and their relations. Too bad you were getting your hopes up for nothing.

Nancy Pelosi is in violation of the Logan Act.
As is any other person not granted express permission by the executive to negotiate on America's behalf.

Someone needs to start a dialog to end the hostilities, but that someone needs to come from the state department. Congress needs to pressure the White House for negotiations, not have them on their own.

Nancy doesn't have the power to negotiate peace. She's not affiliated with the U.S. State Department and has no diplomatic powers.
