My parents threw away toys I could have given my kids. I was stunned. Lost my first serious girlfriend the same week.

When I went into the army my mom threw away my baseball cards and comic books, some of them would be worth a bit of money today.

No, it didn't bother me, and why not let someone else enjoy the toy. And besides, as you get older, the toys don't go away, they just get much more expensive!!!

No, my parents didn't force me to give away my toys! And when we had yard sales, I got to choose what I wanted to put in them.
