yes it should be regulated like alchohol and heavily taxed - 21 to buy it - controlled THC levels - education as to how to use it responsibly - for the last 40 years it has been smoked by the majority of US citizens - you have those who like it and those who dont - you have those (the same as alchohol )who use it responsibly and those that dont - I personally am not a fan but I have friends who like it - and they are just normal people with jobs (a lot of times high paying ones ) who smoke it .

Absolutely. But it should be "Hemp should be legalized". Often the circumstances surrounding an event tells more than the event itself. Cannabis was made illegal by virtue of an excessive tax, under the foreign word "marihuana", because of the horrifying crimes committed by people under it's influence. Within a year ALL hemp came under the prohibition. What is not mentioned is that Hemp as a textile was poised to re-emerge on the market in year 8 of the Great Depression. This would have broken the southern lock on cotton, shifting some of that income outside the south. also, it would have taken some of DuPont's market share by competing with nylon and because of it's high cellulose content (10 times more than corn) it would have been a challenge to the fossil fuel industry.
As for the high THC varieties, they were officially blamed for the creation of 2 genres of music that corrupted the mind and tore down the moral fiber of the nation; those were "Jazz" and "Rock and Roll".

Pot not criminal because of the fact which you may could desire to fireplace a million/5 the police tension if it strengthen into. The paper foyer in Alabama could ***** that hemp is taken place or paper materails, and the pharma companies could lose out on drug sales for anti-depressent drugs. Pot could be criminal by using actuality its no worse the Alcohol. Legalization of pot im for because of the fact I primary people smoked weed that are 50 years previous, and been smokin for 30 plus years, and paintings a job, pay taxes, circulate on holidays. Goverment drug conflict is bullshit for the main area, and the legalization of pot, could make it much less complicated to apply components to tame meth use which undesirable for society and the eviroment. Alcohol finally ends up in snorting from what considered extra desirable than pot. final as much as date: Friday, March 23, 2007 | 11:40 5 AM ET The linked Press New landmark analyze concludes that alcohol and tobacco are extra risky than some unlawful drugs like marijuana or ecstasy and may be labeled as such in criminal structures, in accordance to a sparkling British study. In analyze revealed Friday in the Lancet, Professor David Nutt of england's Bristol college and acquaintances proposed a sparkling framework for the classification of risky ingredients, based on the certainly negative aspects posed to society. Their score indexed alcohol and tobacco between the authentic 10 maximum deadly ingredients. The researchers asked 2 communities of experts — psychiatrists focusing on dependancy and criminal or cops with medical or scientific understanding — to assign scores to 20 distinctive drugs, including heroin, cocaine, ecstasy, amphetamines, and LSD. Nutt and his colleagues then calculated the medicine' usual scores. in the top, the experts agreed with one yet another, yet not with the prevailing British classification of risky ingredients. Heroin and cocaine have been ranked maximum deadly, accompanied via barbiturates and highway methadone. Alcohol strengthen into the 5th-maximum deadly drug and tobacco the 9th maximum deadly. hashish got here in eleventh, and close to the backside of the checklist strengthen into ecstasy. I constantly thought alcohol strengthen into extra risky to start with.

It's non-addicting, non-fatal, and doesn't cause exaggerated or violent behavior.
There's really no reason to make it illegal, let alone to put it in the same category as heroin.
It should be treated like tobacco or alcohol.

Yes. Although I don't smoke it, (tried it as a kid) I think it is less dangerous than drinking. If it makes you feel good then do it. Also it does have some medical value.
