Because it would mean that the media was and has always been wrong, which is too hard for them to do for point #1.
Point #2, because the liberals would have to admit that THEY themselves have LIED to the American Public.
Point #3, All the Dem's who have been crying wolf about the WMD's would have to admit that ALL the INTELLIGENCE was right.
Point #4, The Dem's would then HAVE to Support the troops, and FUND the Military.
Point #5, All the idiots that have been criticising Pres. Bush and bashing him would have to admit that they guy was RIGHT, and they just can't bring themselves up to admit they were wrong.

Read your link, sounds to me like they found no actual weapons just stuff that could have been used.

Maybe no one pays attention because instead of putting out facts and reaching a logical conclusion or speculation you trumpet a possibly inaccurate conclusion as fact?

Secondly last time mainstream media ran a story based on info from Insight Magazine they got mud on their faces, story was demonstrated as inaccurate within days.

EDIT Your second link now talks about those old weapons left over from the eighties. I know about them because I read about it in the mainstream media, that guy Santorum held a press conference about it which was extensively covered. It is no longer covered because they were old weapons. Not the rapidly escalating huge scary stockpile they tried to use to sell us this war.

Interesting to get a different point of view from the vets posting here, most of the vets I have talked with have been anti-war.

Because the the vast majority of Americans, who can't be bothered to exercise their brains to any extent more than cows do, get their "facts" on the matter from the mainstream liberal media (which has an obvious anti-war, anti-Bush agenda) instead of going to the source and talking to the men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces who have actually BEEN to Iraq and have SEEN the stockpiles of WMDs with their own eyes.

It's mostly because the major media outlets don't want to publish the true facts because they spent too many years pounding on the fact that WMD did not exist and don't want to be proved wrong.
