what happened to yahoo discussion at the end of the news stories?

They dumped it because it was turning into a troll fest that would be hijacked by a very few number of people and make the topic postings unreadable and unable to be followed at all.

This is what took it's place to some extent.

They became tired of comments like these being posted beneath them so, it all shifted over to this site.
