I'm doing a bit of research for a story and I've been looking on the internet (using various search engines) for foods and drinks that gods in various mythologies ate.

I have Greek (ambrosia, nectar), Egyptian (Hathor's milk), Mayan (cacoa), Vedic (soma) and Norse (Idun's Apples), anyone else know of some?

Lettuce plays a role in Egyptian mythology. It is associated with the ithyphallic deity Min and was considered to be an aphrodisiac by the ancient Egyptians. It is also associated with one of the tales of the on-going battle between Horus and Set and from that story bears a further association with semen. I won't spell out the details of the story here as they aren't exactly G rated, but the following link provides details (in a perfectly scholarly way)

Well, wine is certainly one item. Bacchus not only drank it, he gave it to humans. And the Native American gods and goddesses (not often called that) apparently ate corn, at the very least.

Fact is, there is probably a god or goddess somewhere that eats any natural food. There were (are?) certainly those that ate meat, including human flesh in some cultures. But I doubt if there are any that eat refined sugar, Big Macs or Coca Cola.
