I received a letter telling me to send $1 to 6 people in the letter. There is a several pages to the letter that explains it but in short if you send out 200 copies of the same letter and at only 7.5 percent return you can end up making alot of money because you add your name to the list and people send you $1. It sounds like it would work. Has anyone done this and had results?

This is a SCAM!!! Don't just delete the message, ship it off to Yahoo as spam mail. Any total stranger can write anything they want to you and you will send them money? THINK, then forget the 'get rich quick, let's go out and become thieves scheme' , trash the mail, and don't respond these people. This is a scam.

First, this is an illegal Ponzi scheme. Second, it doesn't work except for a tiny percentage of people at the very top of the list ... do the math.

Yes, I have responded to these types of letters on more then one occasion. In each case I did not make any money.
The best way to make an income on-line in my eyes is with a product or service that is needed or used every day by the masses.
If you are interested in hearing about such an opportunity send me an email at profitrevolution@yahoo.com
I will send you all the details.
This is a free opportunity!!

Thanks and Good Luck!

No, because it's stupid even if it wasn't illegal.

What happens if someone cheats and puts his name at the top? ChaCHING.

Sooner or later, people run out of friends who are dumb enough to participate in this. It's called a Ponzi scheme, and it inevitably crashes.

P.S. Maybe for your first federal criminal offense you should pick something where you don't have to put your name and address.

That is what is known as a "Ponzi" scheme! It is illegal in many countries in the world. This scheme otherwise known as a "Pyramid" Scheme/Scam is doomed to fail and impact the economy and peace in many economies.

I tried one once with postcards and I got nothing. You can risk $6 and see what happens but no one down the list gets anything.

You'd be best off mailing yourself all $6. Then you're only out the postage.
