The Federal Government only closes for one religous holiday and that is Christmas. If you have a problem with the government being closed that day here is what you can do....petition the government not to be closed for that day

good point but also a bad one. think about it, in all religious fairness they should also get off all the Muslim holidays and all the Jewish holidays. that would stall the whole government in it's already slow tracks because they'd never have to go to work.

You must not understand seperation of church and stare concepts. We have the right to not work on a religous holiday.

If that bothers you, go work at McDonalds. There you can work almost 24/7, 365 days a year

I would just enjoy another day of freedom.. Or your day off, whichever applies..
When we get days off of work and get paid, I would consider it a day of great gifts..
And if God is truely in charge of this country still, I guess he put religous people in charge.. Sorry for your luck..
