Chromosomes are located in the nucleus of the cell; they are seen during nuclear division when their precursor, chromatin, spiralises and condeses immensely becoming short and thick and giving rise to chromosomes.
Chromsomes are structures composed of DNA, protein and a little RNA. Prokaryotic cells do not have such structures; their DNA lies naked in the cytoplasm and is not associated with protein and so cannot be called chromosomes in the same sense as eukaryotic chromosomes.
Mitochondria contain DNA but it is not associated with protein to form chromosomes.
And plant cells contain both chloroplasts and mitochondria; they carry out aerobic respiration which occurs in the mitochondria. respiration goes on day and night in plants and mitochondria are need to break the chemical bonds of glucose formed during photosynthesis and release the energy for ATP synthesis which then provides enegy for cellular activities.

Chromosomes are found in the nucleus. Plasmid-like pieces of DNA are found in the mitochondria and in the chloroplasts of plants. This, along with the organelles' shapes provides evidence for the endosymbiosis theory, where it is believed that mitochondria and chloroplasts used to be independent prokaryotes before they were incorporated into the cell. And plasmids are the circular "chromosome" of prokaryotes, like bacteria.
And, misoma5, plants do have mitochondria. They need them for ATP production through oxidative phosphorylation.

Chromosomes in Eukaryotic cells are only found in the nucleus. There is also DNA in the Mitochondria but it is not in the form of chromosomes.

Chromosomes are located in the nucleus of a cell. Also in animal cells (eukaryotes) you will find chromosomes in the mitochondria. This is made up of mitochondrial DNA. In plant cells, this is different. They contain chloroplasts and not mitochondria.
