Give them about another month and a half or two. They need to be about 2 1/2 months or so to breed without hurting your fish.

To be honest the larger and older the better, well to a point. But, they should be breeding age and size in another 2-3 months. Age will come first, then size. So they will breed when they are a bit small unless you seperate the males and females before they are old enough and keep them seperated until they are larger.

Well, mine are about 2.5inch.(2.5cm=1inch)
And 10mounths old.
i've breed them, but the female doesnt birth to to a genetic defect.
You should just keep them together until they are ready.
The time may vary slightly from fish-to-fish.
