It seems to be getting more and more expensive each year, and more focused on showbags and rides now, now the "bringing the country to the city" like it is supposed to be!
Unfortunately the new place doesn't have the charm and appeal of the old venue at what is now fox studios.
It is quite pricey with food, highlights are the main arena shows in the evening and the wood chopping competitions. It was quite crowded this weekend but crowds should be better during the week I should imagine.

Didnt go this year, but went last year. Take HEAPS of money - your average hot dog will cost more than a cup o f coffee. I liked the night show at th area, where they had displays of the horses, holden utes, cannon ball lady, motorbikes and everything. Lots of fun, but also the animal pavillions are always good and for the kids, the rides and showbags - but i must stress: MONEY MONEY MONEY! You'll need it!!
