We went to Holy Thursday Mass last night. That is where we celebrate the Last Supper which is also the first Eucharist..It is very beautiful.
Tonight we will go to Good Friday service where they read about Christ being crucified.
Tomorrow we will go to the Easter Vigil where we hear of Christ being resurrected. It is a very long and glorious Mass and quite joyful!!
Every year we go to the Vigil instead of Easter morning because the Vigil is so powerful and spiritual!!!
Happy Easter and God Bless!!

No, my mom usually makes me go to Easter mass on the actual day of Easter. It seems to last forever though because our preist has an accent that is VERY hard to understand. However, i do look forward to going because they have doughnuts afterwards. = ]

"pax" has given a strong answer for the Catholic church so i am going to have a crack at one for the Protestants. i'm speaking from a Lutheran perspective it extremely is the oldest of the protestant church homes - first to split from the Roman Catholic church. The Mass in the RC church is a SACRIFICIAL adventure, what we do in the service of God & the international (i'm hoping i do not misrepresent). The Lutheran perspective of worship is SACRAMENTAL or what God does on our behalf. Worship is properly-called DIVINE service because in it - God gathers human beings and adopts them as "his" own through the water and the be conscious (Bible) of Baptism, God hears our confession and pronounces the forgivness of our sin, God speaks to the church through the be conscious (the Bible readings), God feeds the church on the heavenly dinner celebration (Holy Communion / Lord's Supper / Eucharist) with the bread and wine it extremely is the body and blood of Jesus (the be conscious made flesh), God hears the prayers of the church on behalf of the international and God sends the church decrease back out into the international to percentage the strong information of God's forgiveness with the promise of the Holy Spirit as their helper. little or no of the Lutheran service is called sacrificial.

No, not in my life. I've never been to a holiday mass ever. I went to my cousin's confirmation when I was a little kid but that's about it.
BUT, now that my cousin was recently born again, we will be attending her Christian church on Sunday morning...
