Neither. Santa Claus is per a authentic man or woman - Saint Nicholas who turned right into a bishop in the 4th century who gave presents anonymously to poor human beings you'll locate that, in a lot of countries, Saint Nicholas nevertheless brings presents on his banquet day, December sixth, and nevertheless sounds like a bishop. the united states grew to grow to be him into Santa Claus. The Easter bunny isn't rather Christian, does no longer characteristic in any church traditions and is properly-known specially in the united states and, because the unique Easter Hare, in Germany. the united states grew to grow to be him right into a rabbit, an Easter bunny. So Christians did not invent the "Santa Claus" or "Easter bunny" myths. individuals invented them by technique of, as they so frequently do, messing up different individuals's heritage and lifestyle. there is easily NO evidence that both is a few thing in any respect to do with any pagan faith. the tale of pagan origins is yet another American delusion.

The Christians DID NOT invent Easter.
Pagans celebrate the Spring Equinox.. Christians stole their holiday just as they stole all others.
Does it just seem like a coincidence that Easter falls on the first Sunday after the FULL MOON?

If Easter is considered as celebration of the Resurrection of Christ, it's a foundational belief. One might even say Jews celebrated the first Easter...Catholicism is the oldest surviving form of Christianity; all contemporary forms derive from it. It divided into Roman and Eastern Orthodox (and also :) quite a few Christian sects stamped out by their fellow Christians. Protestantism in all its forms is quite a modern derrivative, being only maybe 500 years old.

It didn't. It was a pagan holiday (as was Christmas) created by Nimrod, grandson of Noah. It evolved from there through the generations. Obviously it was well before the time of Christ when Easter had been first celebrated.

Easter is actually the pagan celebration for the Spring equinox (date when day and night are the same length). The catholics, trying to make it easier to convert pagans, simply stole Easter and created their own story for it!!
other holidays like this are:
-Christmas (Winter solstice - shortest day of the year)
-Hallowe'en (Autumn equinox)
**Hope You Find it informative!!**

The Catholic Church predates all the others (except arguably the Orthodox, depending on your view of history), so it would be responsible for the setting of all the dates.
