To maintain the active voice in the second sentence, I would change the second sentence to:
The Prime Minister of Malaysia responded positively to this invitation; OR
The Prime Minister of Malaysia accepted the invitation; OR
The Prime Minister of Malaysia agreed to this proposal

I would also change the 'on' before 'April' to 'from'.

You could say:
The Prime Minister of Malaysia accepted this invitation
OR
The Prime Minister of Malaysia responded positively to this invitation.

Actually I am gonna have to be dual with this question.
Though the structure of the sentence you've presented is right, the more right choice would be,
This "invitation was positively responded" by the Prime Minister of Malaysia.
OR
The Prime Minister of Malaysia "responded positively" to the invitation.

First of all, it should be "responded TO positively."

Second, it would be less awkward to say " The Prime Minister responded positively."

Third, you could say " warmly received", "accepted enthusiastically," "greeted with enthusiasm," or any number of other things.

Hope this helps.
