Snails eat plants, but not that fast. Your fish can be chowing on them at night too. I wouldn't kill the poor things. Just get plastic plants, or more sturdy ones like bannana plants.
It clould also be they are decaying. If the water is off for them, there isn't enough nutiants(poop), or a lack of sunlight can be factors.
It sounds like a ramshorn snail. Also the common snail is a pond snail. The snail may also be an apple snail, or chineese snail.
I would goolge the 3 types ,so you can get an idia of wich one it is.
Hope your snails get to live....

Yes, the snails are eating the plants and yes they probably came with the plants. The wierd snail could be a few different things, possibly a Ramshorn, possibly a Mystery or aApple. The snails would help to clean algae from your tank if you had any but you don't so they are eating your plants. In the meantime you could feed them Algae wafers, available at the pet store where the pellet food is. If they are indeed two different breeds of snails then they shouldn't breed so you shouldn't end up with millions of problem snails and should be able to grow plants as long as you keep the two snails fed.

yes, your snails are eating the plants in your aquarium. Sounds like you may have a ramshorn snail if the shell is flat. Take them out or buy them snail food (algae wafers) if you don't want your plants to be eaten.

Snails usually eat plants dead parts, they will actually clean algae off of most plants. Sounds like your plants are dying and the snails are cleaning up the mess. Lots of things kill plants, wrong water conditions, wrong temperatures, lack of frequent water changes, stores that sell plants that are not meant to grow fully immersed, lack of CO2,wrong water hardness, not enough light, and on,and on.

I'm not sure wat kinds of snails you have but unless they are huge snails they aren't responsible for the damage to the plants. I'll assume you don't see lots of dead leaves in the tank and filter or you wouldn't be asking where they went lol. Sounds like to be you have some fish in there that think your plants are the salad bar. Of course, it's not bad for them, so if you don't mind buy more plants every so often, you could consider the plants healthy fish food.

From what you have described it seems to me that you might have a Mystery snail and a Ramshorn. These may occasionally nip plant leaves but they do not cause as nearly as much damage as you have described.
My best guesses without knowing much else are. Either your plants are dying from inadequate lighting or nutrients, or your fish are eating your plants.

The best way is to get rid of these dam snails!! Just take salt of put it on them, they will melt to death. If they eat others stuff they deserve to die. They shoulda thought of the consequences before they ate others plants.
