i would try a ton on, but i cant stand! i just wanted to hear your guys opinions about it. its hard because im sitting all day, so my thighs are always like flat on the chair. so when i try on clothes, they cant go all the way, but if i press up, my thighs get thinner, but i cant always do that. i would need help. another problem is belts. the belt never stays on the jeans in the back, it goes above it, so thats really no help. : )

If you have to shop by yourself I'd just buy several sizes that seem like they might fit you and then try them on at home where you have help getting dressed. Return the sizes that don't fit and buy more of the one that does.

Hm, well I never did get that tall, but I've been quite the average weight my whole life, and I was a 7 or 9 then, as I am now. Also, if you're worried about bunching, try some different kinds. Stretch might bunch less, but there are some that are a softer denim that might be more comfortable.

Everyone is different ,size doesn't matter just get what fits and that you like the best,I wear jeans with a little stretch in them they are more comfortable and fit close to your body ,like Levis have some jeans with stretch, look at the tag to check the fiber content for stretchy materials. i don't know if you have a Dillards in your town but the Levis for a good price $27.00 and they are the greatest jeans I have ever had!!! Have fun when looking !!!

That will depend totally on the way you are built. Are you medium boned, small, or big boned. I am five foot six inches also and i am not fat or skinny and i wear a size 12. Although, I a very short waisted and long legged with a medium bone structure. You should wear anywher from a 5 to a 12 depending on your build.

Can you get someone to measure your hips and waist, as this will tell you what size you are. When you know your measurements, you just need to check the size chart of the store you want to buy the jeans (can check on-line) and this should tell you the best size to fit you.

HTH : )

As Guinea28 mentioned, you need to measure yourself or have somebody help you do that. unfortunately we cannot really help with the size with your age, and height. those actualy have zero importance when it comes to sizing for clothing. Your waist, hip and inseam measurement are most critical. Once you have that figured out, you can go to sizing charts for any clothing store you want and look it up. One thing to keep in mind, if you have different sizes you need to fit your largest size. On me for example my waist is one size (12 in my case) and my hips are 14. So I have to buy pants to fit my hips, my largest measurement.

Most major clothing stores wil also show you wear to measure yourself.

Good luck!

Go to a store and try on every single pair. Look inside the ones that feel comfortable..read the little tag. THAT'S WHAT SIZE YOU WEAR.
