INDIA QUITTING CRICKET IS LIKE BRAZIL QUITTING FOOTBALL. INDIA SHOULD NOT STOP PLAYING CRICKET AS IT HAS FANS MORE THAN ANY OTHER GAME IN INDIA SO IT SHOULD NOT BE STOPPED BY SOME STUPID COMMENTS. IF TODAY IS NOT OURS THEN TOMORROW IS OURS.
BEST OF LUCK FOR YOUR TOMORROW DEBATE.

This is absurd ! I have been an ardent fan of Indian Cricket since the famous Duleepsinghi. They have a long and wonderful cricketing past and there is no reason to stop. However they must take necessary steps to produce a good team of pace bowlers. India has produced great batsmen and spinners but not a single pace bowler. Kapil Dev and Javagal Srinath may come into the average category but at present even bowlers of this ability are not competent enough especially in the 50 over games. Many years ago when Padkar opened the bowling for India it was felt that he was quite menacing and fast but personally I felt he was no comparison to Fazal Mahmood of Pakistan. At one time there was a school of thought that felt India could not produce a Pace bowler because they do not consume red meat. The problem was quite serious.India has never produced an Imran Khan,or Waqar Younoos or even an Allan Donald. For that matter Mortaza of Bangladesh is very much better than all that India has to offer. If they wish to win the World Cup in year 2011 they have to groom 6 to 8 young lads about 14-16 years old with immediate effect because they have only four years. The plan would be to select boys with a broad frame , especially broad shouldered with good stomach muscles preferably good athletes or Swimmers.Chest size should be minimum 40 and they should be at least 5'10" tall.Employ a top class Physical Instructor and a Bowling Coach. Give thema vigourous Physical Training programme which can include swimming ,short continuous sprints, weight training,Yoga (If they can do the head stand or walk on their hands it would be advantaegous).etc.plus two hours of continuous bowling at a constant pace maintaining line and length daily. After two years of training they can select two of them to play for the Indian Side so that they can get the necessary exposure.See their performance, change if necessary, continue the training and in 4 years there should be at least two of them to represent India at the World Cup in 2011. The purpose of this exercise will be twofold. It would improve the batting tremendously. At the nets when you face medium pacers who half pitch or over pitch every other ball it is very easy for the batsman to feel elated and have a high opinion of himself until he is exposed at International level where he has to face Brett Lee or Shane Bond.Further if the Opening bowlers do not get that early breakthrough it is difficult for a Spinner to upset a set batsman especially in a limited over game where more often than not the first ten overs decide the outcome especially when India is playing.

Why should they stop playing cricket?
I don't know how this question arises.
Some fools will praise our team when they do well and will do some nasty things like burning the posters of our cricket players.
We should support our team.We are here only to support them ,not to curse them.
These people will involve in betting and if our country loses they will curse our team. This is absolutely stupid.
Do these people know how much hard work is needed to get
into cricket?
If India stops playing cricket then also riots will occur for the reason that "India cannot even form a cricket team?".
These people will involve in gambling and will say that our cricket players are concentrating only on advertisements and not on cricket.
What if they earn by appearing in advertisements? They have worked hard to get into cricket and to make themselves popular.
They are being payed for their hard work.
If cricket is stopped, then we have no other sport which can gain more sponsors.
Cricket has great influence on our economy(TV advertisements,Sponsors,Advertisements in the ground,on shirts,on cricket bats,on the stumps etc.)
We have so many cricket stadiums. If India stops playing cricket ,what is the use of so many cricket stadiums?
What will the Government do with the stadiums if cricket comes to a halt ?

i do no longer discover any rationalization why India could provide up enjoying cricket as irrespective of their pathetic overall performance, India nevertheless have have been given a good team with the mixture of experienced gamers and youthful skills. the only challenge as i will see is that the main experienced gamers think of too lots approximately themselves and do unlike all questioning or criticism approximately their attitude. as quickly as this perspective is replaced and if each physique interior the team study tom know one yet another, India could be a very good team no longer in basic terms in paper yet by potential of prevailing fits.
