It's sad that I find myself answering such a serious topic based on a question that seems more like a kid's idea of a joke but I'll listen to my own words and remind myself that there is no such thing as a stupid question, only stupid answers so there it is...
Let's begin with this question...
Do you have any sort of anniversary that you celebrate year after year? Any thing at all, such as your wedding anniversary or even any other meaningful day in your life?
Did you ever notice how not one of them follows on the exact same day of the week, year after year?
If you ever bothered to read the Bible, which is the least anyone who worries about celebrating the resurrection of Christ should be compelled to do, you'd be aware that the term "Easter" isn't mentioned in there once.
Only the Jews who always celebrated the "Passover", since the day in Egypt when YHWH, their God, made his angels pass over all of the doors that had the blood mark on them as to avoid putting to death the eldest of that household, and keep on doing it to this day and Jehovah's witnesses who recognize that on that very same day Jesus gave his perfect life as a ransom for their sins, celebrate the "Memorial Day", the day in which Christ died for us all, on the proper day of the year, namely Nissan 14, which fell on the second day of April this year, and that is the only day that Jesus asked his disciples to remember in memory of him... Not his birth day which was in October, not the day he was resurrected temporarily on this planet for 40 days, not any other day. As a matter of fact, the only 2 birthdays quoted in the Bible made referrence to the fact that a head was chopped up, not my idea of being inspired to celebrate such a day for myself for sure. All except for anniversaries (wedding! that is, which is a feat today!) and the memorial of Christ, all of the other celebrations celebrated today in the world, bar none, have their origins with pagan worship, whereas the true God wants only to be worshipped in spirtit and truth. That truth that sets people free of having to spend fortunes in thousands of unnecessary decorations and gifts and candies and chocolate eggs and bunnies, representing the goddess of fertility, nothing at all to do with the death of resurrection of Jesus. So to answer your question, what will I do for whatever it is that you like to call Easter? Nothing at all! Thank you!
