You need a new doctor. A lot of things can cause you to be late, including pregnancy, stress, different routines etc. None of those mean that you didn't ovulate. Also, if you are young, your cycle may take years to stabilize. I'm 27 and mine still can't seem to get on an even track, and I ovulate every month. If you're unsure, or worried about making sure you ovulate, (trying to get pregnant), you can purchase ovulation kits from any pharmacy. Start on day 10 of your cycle and continue until it shows positive. I prefer the digital ones since it makes it easier to see.

The body is always changing and if is not uncommon for a woman to completely miss a period even though every thing may be quite normal. This is where women often think they are pregnant but are not. you usually find that after a miss the next period is much heaver than usual this may last for the next one two or three then go back to normal. Some women only have a few days and others a full seven of even ten days. It is just the way some women are. Some women do not suffer period pain and others have server pain with very little discharge. I hope this has helped you understand a little.

A period can be late by one week because of stress as well.
If you aren't sure what to think about what your dr told you then I would definitely recommend getting a second opinion to be on the safe side, but preferably from someone that does not share the same office of the dr that you currently see.

Weight loss or stress might be the cause.
i dont think this is right because girls can go for months without a period at all, then have one, and their was ovulation

i lately observed a instruct on TLC the position women human beings had their MP for his or her finished being pregnant. they did not even know they were pregnant till they presented the infant! Or, you've conceived and had a miscarriage (because you began bleeding). Take the try, and best of success. wish you conceive quickly in case you have not already :) rigidity could clarify the previous due era. And back, best of success!!
