I am looking for a great pool, less children, clean room.

Someone suggested MGM?
Any other suggestions? Any links to websites for bargain hotel deals (aug/sept)

"Great pool" for $500 a week. > not unless you're a player. Or are willing to go to Las Vegas in December, when room rates are the lowest of the year.

Unless your definition of a "great pool" is different than mine.

It would be possible if you went Sunday through Thursday, and avoided special events and large conventions.

The Stratosphere was mentioned already, and it's a possibility. But, they don't have a "great pool".

The Monte Carlo or Flamingo would be your best bet for a great pool at a reasonable rate.

"Otisstumpy' Mentioned the Tropicana, while I agree they do have a great pool the hotel itself isn't much, and to come anywhere near your "$500" for a week you would have to stay in one of their "Garden" rooms. I ran the least expensive 7 nights I could think of through the Trop reservations and it came back $578 for the garden rooms.

You are absolutely doing the right thing by starting your search now. Always book your room as far in advance as possible. Use the online sites to compare room rates, but book your room through the hotel. This way you can keep looking for a better deal all the way up until you go. >Room rates in LV go up and down, just like the stock market< I check at least once a week, you never know when you will run across an incredible deal at a very nice hotel.

These are the online sites I use
http://www.travelworm.com
http://www.i4vegas.com
http://www.tripres.com
http://www.vegas.com

This is a great site for up to date LV info, and it has links to every LV hotel/casino web site >Use the web sites to sign up for e-mail promotions, and to check room rates.
http://www.lasvegasadvisor.com "VEGAS INFO" >Hotels & Casino

We go to LV 2-3 times a year for 2 weeks or more at a time and have for over 20 years. If you can't find exactly what you're looking for, feel free to send me an anonymous e-mail through YA and I will see what I can do for you.

Later: It's a little know fact that you can use two of the great pools in LV without being a guest at their hotel. The Tropicana and Hard Rock both have blackjack tables in their swimming pool. Nevada Gaming commission rules require them to allow you access. All you have to do is(if they ask) tell them you're going to play blackjack.

Well if you don't mind doing the downtown area the Golden Nugget is the way to go there for what you are looking for. On the strip, you do have some choices but not alot for that amount of money. It will help if you go during the summer when it is the most hot. Rooms get way cheaper then. Stratosphere has 2 pools...one is adult only. Rooms are nice too. MGM is an option but your weekend rate will probably kill the 500 budget. One way is to stay on the strip during the week Sun - Thurs and then go to the Golden Nugget on Fri and Sat. There are tons of sites to hook up with and Travel Agents are a good bet. We just got a deal for $326 per person with air, hotel and transfers for 5 nights from Ohio. All a matter of timing. Good luck to you.

I've never stayed there, but I've heard good things about the Tuscany. It's more of an "extended stay" type hotel with studio apartment style rooms but I personally think those are nice for anything more than a few days.

They are supposed to have a lovely pool area - try looking it up online. They are not a hotel/casino, but they are just off the strip (well within walking distance). Give it a shot.

As to bargain hotel links - it is vegas - roll the dice and try priceline... just make sure to specify a 4 star hotel - I've gotten great deals there....

First off, pitch anything that you are not using, for six months or more. Unclutter the room, then see about purchasing some orgainzers for your closet, and for under bed if you need more space. Everything should have it's own place. It takes 21 days to make or break a habit if you are 'willing' to do so. Set some rules for yourself that you don't do this or that until the room is tidy. It will be a great feeling walking into your organized and tidy room and give you a sense of pride. Set aside one day a week for general cleaning. You will find if you keep everything in it's place, it will take much less time tidy up. Organization will flow over into other parts of your life. Now get crackin! lol ;)

I would try the Tropicana....It is a bit dated but it is clean and I like it there....if you check at the beginning of the week, usually Mon or Tues., the rates are less and rooms can be had for around $45 a night during the week....sign up for email promotions at the site and maybe get better rates.....
I am going in a couple days for 5 nights and paying $135 total....two of my nights are free!
I also have seen great rates on www.travelworm.com Just punch in your dates to see.......I know the week of Memorial day the Orleans has $35 a night for 4 nights......

If you dont care about staying off the strip. The marriotts courtyard is very nice and very nice pool. They are also very polite. Not too many kids when i was there. Its mostly a bussiness travel hotel. but you can stay for pleasure also!

For that price - consider the Hampton Inn off Tropicana. You can book it thru www.hilton.com
