I read in the EdmontonSun on April 1st that they said the lowest Canadian team in the league will have to play in the AHL, and they also mention that sense the "Oilers" will be the lowest Canadian team in the league that the Manitoba Moose will take our spot in the NHL, to give teams like the Manitoba Moose a taste of the NHL. They also said that after next season when the next lowest Canadian team leaves to the AHL we can take our place in the NHL again.

It must be a joke cause I have not heard nothing about this as being true, but just in case what do you think of all this with the AHL playing in the NHL?

There is no way that could even be possible. Even the best team in the AHL would get smoked on a nightly basis playing NHL teams. The purpose of the minor leagues is to provide a training ground for potential NHL players. It had to be an April Fools joke.

Ha Ha Ha. Yes you got April fooled. Hopefully the Oilers will play in the NHL next year. It will depend how they draft and how they sign free agents. Today 1/2 of the team are AHL players. Can you imagine. An AHL team that goes all the way to the Stanley cup final. LOL.
The only important issue now for this year is......WILL THEY BEAT CALGARY ON SATURDAY NIGHT TO END THE SEASON WITH A WIN?............AND........ TO DENY THE FLAMES A PLAYOFF SPOT LIKE THEY DID US A FEW YEARS AGO ON THE LAST GAME OF THE YEAR WOULD BE A SUITABLE RETURN IN KIND.

I think it is an April Fools joke the paper played on you because the Edmonton Oilers have been playing in the AHL for the last 2 weeks. I for one can't tell the difference between them and the AHL.

On a serious note, I personally think it is rather amateurish of newspapers to be doing April Fools Jokes. I am sorry they confused you.

Are you crazy, If that ever happened, They would keep the Moose in AHL and have an NHL Team Expand one in Kansas City Portland Oregon, or Las Vegas, do you know what that will really do to the NHL.

OILERS better start winning again.

Its a joke. A sarcastic response to how poorly the Oilers have performed this year. I often say the same thing about the Flyers and Phantoms switching places here in Philly.

Its an April Fools joke! While it may seem as if they are already playing at that level its not going to happen.
At this point its probably best for them to finish low in the standings, so they can get some decent draft picks for next year. Maybe they can rebuild the franchise.
