If you're going to amusement parks, you can't miss Cedar Point in Sandusky, OH (www.cedarpoint.com). On your way you could go to Cleveland and check out the Rock and Roll Hall of fame, Detroit for maybe a Tigers game, Columbus, or Cincinnati.
If you're just doing major places, go to Chicago, New York, LA, Las Vegas

Visit the National Parks ... Yosemite, Yellowstone and the Grand Canyon are the BEST. As far as theme parks go it depends on your preference on what "type" park you visit.
