They've been around for a while, now. They are called aeroplanes.
I don't personally use them because I don't need to, but many people do.
Many people are worried about just how many other people use these things that give wings to man. They are so worried that they fly to big conferences to talk about it.

Yes. There would be no container large enough for my joy and excitement if I could get wings. Man-made or otherwise.

Yep, but they would need to be very large, since we are relatively a lot denser than birds, who have hollow lightweight bones.
If you could make some small mechanical device to drive them, and make sure it never failed, yes, definitely.

Well, it seems like a pretty useful idea. I mean, what else would you use them for? Maybe to keep your friends cool? Or to shade people who are shorter? :-)
