Protestants and Catholics as well as Methodists, Anglicans Orthodox etc. are all denominations of the same religion and that is Christianity. The difference in denomination are ways of worship and certain interpretations of the bible as well as traditions that have become established although they have nothing to do with Christianity.

Anyway what should I think about the other religions. Asking a question like this only brings strife, hatred, anger and division. Peace on earth man. bye.

It doesn't really matter what anyone thinks about religion. Religion is just a word that humans made up. What matters is whether or not you believe in God. And the work of Jesus. Many people are confused on this. God has always been and always will be here. No matter what you call him. He created all. Religion is just man's way of making ourselves happy. When we don't agree with the Word of God, we have a habit of denying it one way or another and sometimes creating something that seems to be more along what we believe. Hence "religions". In heaven there won't be separate places for different denominations (baptist, protestant, catholic...). All who accept the work of Jesus in their heart with faith will be there.

As I believe that all religion is delusional wishful thinking, I really can't see any major difference between any religion. It's like patients in a psychiatric hospital...one patient may think there is a radio in his head controlled by martians, the next may think he is Napoleon. The specific nature of their hallucinations seems trivial - the key thing is to be aware that they are delusions.

Religious faith often acts as a mirror reflecting the believer. A person may find in his/her beliefs the inspiration to be charitable, decent and tolerant. Another person will attend the same rituals, read the same texts and hear the same sermons and find justification for their bigotry and flaws.

all religions are ok as a textbooks i mean in general the ethics and morals are the same among all religions . the thing baout them books is they are written in a lanaguage of the old time and in all religions there are those fanatics that take these texts too literrally and then the understanding of these texts are often effected by one's bacjground culture and diffrent expirience of life . religon in first place is meant to help u organaize ur relationship with others and with god here and there after. but some use these beleifs to stand out in teh world and end up isloated not to mention the way some trashes the name of their beleifs with their behaviour. i dont have anything aganist any particular religion but i do have issues with soem practioners of certain religions.

Religion is primarily about people following a set of moral/spiritual rules in order to gain acceptance and favour from a higher being, ie God. Human beings have always devoted themselves to something or someone according to what they percieve is worthy of worship. Religion therefore is about man's attempts to reach up to God. The only religion where this doesn't apply is Christianity which teaches that God came down from heaven to earth in human form to bring man back into a right relationship with himself through the death and ressurection of Jesus. At the end of the day you and I have free will to choose what we believe and therefore how we behave.

ALL religions are only guides for human beings.

These are required to enable the mind achieve higher levels of consciousness and realize the supreme reality.

mind gathers all the information via sense organs, So these are easily acquired as they are what we are engaged 24 hour's of the day. we cannot think of anything else as long as this occupies our mind and intellect. THUS TO BREAK THE PATTERN our elders designed these religions.

how they became so many was due to the fact of competition with each other for greatness and formation of small groups of same thinking (groups are required only when our weakness as individuals becomes apparent ).

Islam is the truest religion and the best way of life for mankind. If you would like a close relationship with God that spans the universe then look no further.Don't you see that the muslims believe in Islam so much, regardless of what you think about them, they are willing to lay down their life to bear witness to the truth. Look towards Iraq? Who lied to the world and sent their own people into harms way, for personal gain?
Who can stop these tyrants? Aren't the christians aiding and abetting them in Iraq, accessories to genocide? Why don't they speak out against these atrocities?

You will find in Islam there is no room for comprimise when it comes to these matters

I think their are multiple twerps on Yahoo that would like to incite war among them which is tragic because this is the perfect forum for finding what works between races, religions and other artificial barriers between people. The tragic thing is that they make it seem the majority are like that when the truth is there are just a few avid stirrers of crap.

protestant and chatholic are all christians just from different sects. i believe religions were created to explain the unknown and give meaning to our lives. they teach how to behave in treat our fellow human beings. they are all pretty much the same just targeted for different groups of people. we humans however chose to go to war over petty difference, regardless of laws handed out by religion on how we should treat one an other.
