i got my period, but i do not know wich pad is better m staying in hostel, feeling shy to ask, please hlep me, some are using clothes too, is it ok, and tell aobut cost and can i purchase myself. please gude me m really worrying. please tell how to use and for how many days should i use.

First of all never use clothes,they are unhygienic if not properly sterilised which is not possible in a hostel.
1.Use high waist dark coloured pantie(preferably Red).
2.Use sanitary napkins which has Wings.The wings are stuck on the inner side of the panty and then the panty is worn so that the napkin covers the entire area stopping any chance of leakage.
3.The duration of use depends on the discharge. If the discharge stops then you can stop using.
4.Go to a medical shop or any shop selling ladies items there you can get a sanitary napkin.
5. you can purchase whisper ultra which has wings and is large too 25-30Cm's.It also takes care of heavy discharge.
6. There are many napkins such as Stay free,Carefree,Cortex.
7. The cost of napkin may cost Rs.50.00 approx. containing 7 PCs.

I use Always pads. They have a number of different product lines that make using a pad very easy. I use the kind that not only have sticky that goes inside my panties but has the special wings that wrap around the other side to help protect from a mess on the side.
Also, changing the pad about every 3 hours helps to reduce the amount of mess that can be created.

do not be shy to ask this stuff, just talk to your mom or a female u trust like her above says, buying pads is like most things, u might try a few kinds to see which ones u like (i use ultra thin stayfree and kotex tampons) how many you use depends on your flow, there's pads for heavy, medium or light- its different for all of us, go to discount or drug stores, and they're not expensive it just depend what brand and how many in a package (first get small packs, usually 18) until u find one u like then get bigger packs cuz they're usually cheaper

Hey, pads are uncomfortable and unnecessary. Get tampons. If you insist on pads, you can get them in any grocery store ( and tampons) and they cost approx. 5$ a box. You worry more about leaking and their uncomfortable and, well I hate them. Tampons are like wearing nothing at all and easier to put in your purse or pocket. Scary time for you? It gets easier and congratulations.

first use high waist panty.and buy around 25-30 cm long pad with wings on both side.stick into your panty.thats it.i am doing the same.

Use always and the ones with little wipes with them! THey are the best and keep you feeling clean! lol True true it is scary but Its nice protection! kk
