I have read about a contraceptive pill called seasonal, apparently it makes you have a period around every 3 months. I am inteterested in using it because i find periods a nuisance and would love to only have 4 a year. Has anyone used it and if so, what is it like? Also, is it available in the U.K?

I personally have not taken Seasonale but I have talked to other women who have taken it and I've heard both good and bad about it. One of the side effects that a number of them had that caused problems was that of breakthrough bleeding which can act a lot like a fullblown period.

As for it being available in the UK, check with the manufacturer to see if they have a European branch of the company there where you are. They can tell you more about whether it's available there or not.

I plan on trying this or the one that only makes you have it for about 3 days a month after I have one more child.
