Possibly one of the best singers of his time. He wasn't a drop dead handsome man but excellent singer. Many newer signers have done covers of his songs. He had a fairly short but varied life. He lost a wife and two sons and he died in his early 50's from heart disease. He was a prolific writer as well. Of course may age is showing here. My favorite music dates from the mid 1950' to mid to late 60's.

However, I was never a huge Elvis fan and didn't really care that much for the Beatles. I am more 4 Seasons. Beach Boys Orbison and other single crooner type singers of the late 50's early 60's.

Roy Orbison had a novel and unique voice... that falsetto. His vocal performances are awesome. i does no longer say he replaced into the most perfect yet his voice could really arise in any severe conversations about the most proficient voices in Rock. -operating Scared -in simple terms the Lonely -Crying -Blue Angel -noticeably female -Dream infant you won't be able to get a lot more advantageous positive than that.

A beautiful singing voice. He was at his best with ballads, his early 'SUN' rock'N'Roll ones didn't do his voice justice. Another from the 50's who will always be remembered
