its natural for her to have mixed feelings. being together for any length of time is hard enough to let go of. alot of memories, some good some bad are in that household. she may be feeling anxiety of not wanting to let memories go when the house does. its more complicated then that i assure you. but i would try to be more supportive of her instead of judgmental. especially being you aunt. talk to her and spend time with her. she may be feeling lonely. she may be not handling the separation as well as she would like to. what ever the outcome, its their relationship, not yours. be supportive of both of them and objective for both. be a sounding board, not a deaf ear to one and not the other. if your uncle is happy and is able to live better with it, if you said to him you thought she was being selfish, i'm sure he would have similar things to say as it sounds like he was able to handle it better. dont' be so harsh

I would let them work it out, however they are going to.
It's very normal to have mixed feelings during a divorce or separation. And it's normal for the partners to have evolving views on it. I would say it they wind up back together it will be after both have done some adjusting to their individual situations. If they don't that is also going to take some adjustments.
I don't think there is much constructive that you can do in this matter. They presumably are mature adults.

Me too, i am seperated for 3 yrs., but my ex often comes to check if we are alright. I think the happy one is your uncle, maybe he found his new love, and your aunt might still love your uncle. Its complicated ....

There's nothing you can do to help too. Maybe you can try talking to your aunt, but she might not appreciate it :)
