Betrayal is a way a person displays intensely disrespectful, selfish, self serving greed. When I have been betrayed, I no longer have any invited association with that person. I will never trust them again. No apology they could possibly submit can justify their behavior. They are simply cowards.

I confront them about the situation, severe all ties, and move on. I take what I've learned from it all and try to recognize it if the situation arises again later.
