You should probably go slow as far as changing clothes, but you should constantly work on building your new wardrobe.

Do it at whatever pace is comfortable for you, but don't purge your male wardrobe just yet. Those old things can come in handy. Slow can be a good idea for another reason too! It can take time to find your place. For example I went a little quicker than I probably should have in the replacing of the wardrobe, and bought a lot of more femme type stuff, but now I live more butch lesbian. I now have a bunch of female clothing, like skirts, that I wear probably less than some of my old male stuff. It can take a while to figure out what look you like, and I'm guessing you don't want to waste a bunch of money on somethings you'll never wear. I will agree with anonymous that if going all the way through with transition is for you, then start hormones as soon as you can. The effects take forever!

Unlike some uninformed comments you may get, living as a woman is not a sexual choice and doesn't require that you have sex with anyone. True-TSs have just as low, if not lower, sex drive as genetic born females. True-transsexualism is not an orientation, but a condition.

Now, first of all, I say to consider your motives. Were you born with an intense hatred for what you have below and all they represent, and how those parts force people to treat you? Or are you merely a man who hates himself and wants to use dressing as an escape, or some man who wants to dress up for recreational or sexual reasons. If it is the former, then I see nothing wrong with trying to look like a woman and live as one, since you really are one inside. But if it is for an escape, recreational, or sexual reasons, then I believe it would be wrong. I believe that dressing up for mere recreational or sexual reasons is a mockery to MtF TSs and other women everywhere. Unlike a TG, a true MtF TS is not a man in a dress, but a woman born with the wrong parts and who has a need to correct the terrible mistake that nature allowed.

For me, I started rather gradually. One of the first things I wore was a windbreaker suit. While those are marketed to women, I found that it tended not to raise too many eyebrows. Then I worked on my hair and makeup, then went to wearing dresses and skirts.

If you are intending on complete transition, it may be a good idea to work on the body first. Like start taking hormones, have your facial hair removed, and get some facial cosmetic surgery (even if you have to go overseas to find a willing surgeon who does not require approval letters). Then when you are ready to start the transition, you can pretty much start right into it.

Go slow; this way you can also feel more comfortable in new clothes like this. You can start early and fill up your wardrobe, but as to wearing it, go with one piece of clothing at a time. It's great that you're not afraid to show it; have pride!

Best of luck, and I hope it helped!

Go slow, it takes time to get a new wardrobe. Start off wearing skirts and allow time for people to adjust to your new clothing choice, you can occasionally wear a dress if the the occasion permits, its silly to wear a pretty summer dress if you are going to watch sports best to stick with a denim skirt, if you going out for night clubbing then get femmed up if you like.
Slowly build it up and you have outfits for all occasions, eg work skirts and dresses, casual, going out.
Good luck

What I would do is start slow, with wearing underwear at first to get the feel, then as the days or weeks go by, start wearing whatever you like a Mini-skirt, blouse maybe some tights/stockings, then finish up if you want by putting on make-up and lipstick.

Start slowly with the underware for about a week, then add stockings one piece of clothing at a time until you are comortable to wear the outfit to clubs.
Don't hide in the closet, get OUT and enjoy your choise of sexual life.

Why could we would desire to alter outfits? the purpose of utilising a pad or tampon is to guard our outfits from getting stained or grimy from menstrual fluid. for that reason, except you get a leak that bleeds onto your undies or pants, there is not any reason to alter outfits different than once you often could on the different day.

Whatever makes you feel more comfortable, it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks, you have to feel good with it
