I am an individualist. I believe in doing what I feel like doing without regard for what other people think or believe, and I feel good about it. I really had no choice in this because I was something of an outsider to begin with, so I am not patting myself on the back. However, I am looking for examples of people doing things just to fit in or be a part of the crowd and what were the resulting consequences?

Sure, when I was younger ( a teenager), I did a lot of stupid things to go along with the crowd. As I got older I realized how stupid that was. Now, at 33 years old, I am an individual and am myself, do my own thing and don't really care if I fit into to a crowd or not.

yes I have, it was a decision because I got some goals, and must "fit in " to achieving them.
The result was OK.
