I am 5 weeks pregnant with first child. I have cramping but no blood so I guess that is normal. I go in for a ultrasound on April 25 to see how many “sacs” there are since I have been on Femara, which is a fertility medicine. Thing is I can’t sleep at night and have no idea why. Before I could sleep all threw the night never waking up or wanting to wake up in the morning, Now im lucky if I can go a few hours before waking up so is this normal this early?

Maybe its me being very worried about a miscarriage since we’ve tried for a while before it happened. Anyone also know that the percent of that is?

When my mind gets going about my baby, I have a really hard time sleeping. (hence: why I'm replying at 1am.) It's really common to get really excited, worried, or even start dreaming up names...decorating ideas...will it be a boy? girl?...will everything go alright?

There's always something to think about. Just try to read something else before going to bed--Bible, book, magazine...nothing baby-related. And then do your best not to start thinking about it.

yes, light cramping is normal. it's just your uterus starting to expand...and double in size every few days-weeks.

Everything will be fine. Drink some tea and go to bed! (Actually, maybe I'll go take my own advice!)

I had 3 miscarriages before getting pregnant with my son and I was so stressed that I couldn't sleep either. My Mother-in-Law got me some relaxation CDs an I would listen to them at night and they lulled me to sleep before the first one was over. Also, ask your doctor about Tylenol PM.

i am 6-8 weeks pregnant with my first and all i do is sleep.
i would check with the doctor and see how things are. chances are it's just anxiety about a miscarriage or other problems, or maybe just excitement about the baby in general.

your just stressed out...go for a long walk before bed and have a nice cup of hot tea with lemon and lay down and don't think about the baby!

cramping is ok. I got that too.....spotting lightly is ok. If you get more than spotting then its not ok and go to the hospital.
