The Star Wars saga was written as a story about the rise, fall, and redemption of Anakin Skywalker. As we all know, Anakin died at the end of Episode VI, thus completing the story as George Lucas wanted it told.

Making movies that take place after Episode VI would place Star Wars in the same trap that Star Trek fell into. The end result would be a series of movies that decline in quality and would take away from the thrill of the original films.

Let's leave a good thing alone and let Anakin rest in peace!

Yes, the die hard fans are hoping that George Lucas will live up to his promise of 7, 8, 9 and beyond. There has even been a movie made about this called "Saving Star Wars" which is pretty funny.

F none of these people are real fans. 7, 8, and 9 are suppose to be Leia and Han, their kids (luke opens a new Jedi school) and up til their adulthood. I don't remember who eles in the story's but I think George said that if they get done it will be by his son, that it would take too long to scrip them all the way out and shot them. That he has the base for the scrips but his son(whose like 13?) would be the one behind them if they get made.

I honestly think it would be extremely ridiculous, because the six episodes are perfect the way they are, even though episodes 1-2 weren't that great. The six episodes all revolved around Anakin Skywalker and Darth Vader, so how else can you make new episodes without him?

I hope so.. I would love to star in it. I can be a hairless Chewbacca, or a bald Darth Vador. Or be related to the Sky Walker family, like a cousin or something. How about a space ship on 22-inch rims (YA!) Or i can be the bounty hunter-Homeboy-Fet.....MAN! I FEEL GREAT! I CAN GO ON...I feel tweaked in the brain.

No way! It already sucks that we have the prequels. The OT was fine all by itself.
