My friend has got me into spell candle things...and i just been told that my aunt does spells and i think thats pretty cool. I really want to learn how to do spells and all...my friend said she would teach me sometime, but she told me I have to know the meaning of candles...it would help anyways. So I was wondering if there are any sites that have candle meanings. Ya'no spell like stuff.

As we all know, candles relate to the fire element. Now candles can be made in different colors. Depending of the spell is depending of the color. You can use white for any color, you just need to charge it with the color. To do that u hold the candle between ur palms and think of the color and what will it impact. Relax and keep ur mind blank from anything. Now u are supposed to anoint it with oil but not really necessary. Ok heres a little quick spell that will help u in this exercise.

You will need a bowl of water and a blue candle.

They have said enough so I won't elaborate much...Web sites are OK to a degree, but you can't beat a good ol fashioned book.. You can't take your computer to bed or put it in your handbag when you go out.. Buy some books and you have them forever and can pick them up anytime at all.. I suggest you look around for books on both candle magick and colour magick as they sort of go hand in hand..Then you will need to add more books as you begin to progress.. My first suggestion is a book called (The Candle Magick Workbook) by Kala& Ketz Pajeon.. This book is like being at school.. It is excellent... Ray Buckland has several books worth your consideration.. If your aunt is an experienced practitioner, why not go to her for guidance? Books are great, but learning in person better. Be careful on the web, or in books for that matter, there is alot of stuff out there that is good, and alot of stuff that is just crap. If you aunt is an experienced practitioner, then she could hopefully also teach you things like magical ethics. Before doing any spells, you should study things like psychic protection, grounding, magical ethics, and how spells work. This is not something to play with, and dabbling could have serious consequences. ( I say this sort of thing to the kids all the time, but I don't really expect they pay any attention to it. But I will keep on saying it, in hopes that one of them will pay attention, and be spared alot of grief by not taking shortcuts)
Edit: The books Aussie_Witch and Lady K recommended are good ones, I especially like Cunningham....Especially pay attention to what Lady K said about The Craft, and Practical Magic. There are consequenses to every thing you do.

Pick up Buckland's candle magick book, Buckland's workbook, "The Complete Idiots guide to Wicca and Witchcraft" anything by Scott Cunningham (may he return soon for the Summerlands), but here's a real quick run down.

The color of candles have different energy and purpose.

White is a universal color, it can subsitute for anything or be used for purity

Reds and Pinks are love and passion

Blues are generaly for healing and emotional things like compassion

Greens are for money and other forms of wealth

Blacks get rid of things negetive things

I can't remember oranges and browns right now, sorry.

Bring candles together to bring things to you, bring things closer, increse things etc.
Seperate candles to minimize things, to remove things or to seperate things.

DON'T DO THINGS YOU DON"T KNOW HOW TO DO OR DON'T UNDERSTAND. BEFORE YOU MESS WITH MAGICK, watch 2 movies and remember their lessions, The Craft and Practical Magic.
