Why are Our Gas prices going up again?

Because that "surplus" would fill all our SUVs for about TWO WEEKS- and then the gas riots would break out. Too many people, with too many cars, are using up too much supply. This is NOT rocket science! And as long as we're guzzling down the gas- the price is going to go higher, & higher, and HIGHER- until we start thinking about learning to use mass transportation, bicycles, or our feet-like they're doing more & more in Europe. The choice- is ours.

the surplus oil in storage is for emergency use and is only released in times of nationwide problems. I do know it's been previously released to relieve oil prices, but that is only good on a temporary basis and is not very smart politics. It should be stored and used in cases of terrorism, if and when supplies have been cutoff from the Middle East, or in the event of an OPEC boycott, or in case of political blackmail.
