i know i called them the anheim angels but they don't play in LA thats dodger territory. Francisco rodriguez has always choke in some big time situations at the end of games, not all the time but a couple of times a year remember the stole of home against the A's so would he try to cheat to get an advantage agaisnt hitters, there is film prove that there was something in his cap.

FOR SURE.........after every pitch he would wipe his hand in the white stuff on his hat.....there is no way that he isn't breaking the rules with what he is doing.

You morons. He had a rosin bag behind the mound in which he went to regularly, he then would go to his hat which is all nasty and sweaty (which leaves white marks by itself) and then would throw. For those of you who do not know, rosin is white, and if you then touch the bill of your hat it will stick there and leave a white mark. Again when you sweat alot it leaves white marks in the bill of your hat. He did not cheat in any way and had you actually paid any attn to him pitching you could tell that. If he was trying to cheat the "white stuff" would have made his fastball tail, his fastball was just hard and straight as an arrow. There is not any kind of substance in this world that you can put on the bill of your hat and then just rub your hand on it and it make you throw harder, its as simple as that. If it were anything his fastball would have tailed. Its absolutely ridiculous to assume he was doing anything illegal, it just shows how ignorant ppl can be just b/c someone is dominating the game like KRod does. He is the best closer in the game right now and ppl are looking for a reason to complain. Get a clue and shut the hell up.

He is not violating any rules of baseball. He is also one of the top 3 closers in baseball. All closers have blown saves, that's what hitters that make $7 million a year are supposed to do to pitchers. K-Rod has less BS than the amount of BS in your question. Film proof? Are you planning to turn this film over to the MLB competition committee or is it your private stash? The only unfair advantage he has is a wicked curve ball.
And if you call "choking" in a big time situation his 0.00ERA and 0.88 WHIP in playoffs and the world series as rookie, then I guess he will never be good enough. But I would still take him over any current closer in baseball.

If the Athletics manager had spotted Frankie doing that, you can bet that he would have complained to the ump. The teams play each other 19 times in the course of the season and there is no way they are giving division rivals a free pass on anything. Two years ago, then Washington manager Frank Robinson spotted a foreign substance on the back of Brendan Donnelly's glove. The ump checked, threw Donnelly out of the game and the league gave Donnelly a ten game suspension. Scioscia was so mad at the ump, he too was thrown out of the game. If Frankie did anything wrong, it was in his pitch selection tonight.

Texazzzz, With all due appreciate (no longer attempting to commence a controversy) you're searching on the "dishonest" view from the position you sit down. Karma, His mess... All of that bothers the guy about as a lot as rain bothers a duck. (Ever see a duck contained in the rain?) I admit I did get somewhat apprehensive even as my spouse and mistress all started getting close... I mean they were speaking like girlfriends and planning and that i replaced into like WTF???? I understand your first reaction in telling her to quit all communications yet in case you'll stay with this guy why no longer have lunch at the same time with her and search for suggestion from from her???? even as the conception may seem disgusting in the starting up interest - imagine about all the perception you could benefit and study via talking to her!!! i'm prepared to guess he has informed her stuff that (for regardless of causes) he can't or has no longer informed you. i'm no longer suggesting ya'll sleep with one yet another i'm in simple terms declaring there is something to be discovered from her. i imagine you care or why could you've positioned such an attractive challenge on the questions dialogue board? you be conscious all this as dirt.... He sees this as his grass being the greenest of all the yards on the block.... And if he can get alongside with both really one of you peacefully.... he's correct.

No, because he even said himself that it was from the rosin bag. And that since he wears contact lens and not googles that at times he has to adjust his cap. I just don't understand why it's becoming a big deal. I mean it's not like he doing anything illegal now or before. Give him credit where it's due, he was a no name in the playoffs who made a name for himself who became our stopper after 2002.

Yea, he had a white substance on his hat. So what? Pitchers are constantly using rosin bags, saliva, and dirt on their hands just so they can get a good grip on the ball. The ball hasn't been doing anything funny to indicate that the integrity of the baseball has been altered, so who cares? He can get a better grip on the ball and that's all there is to it.

I do not think he is. Remember, he has been pitching for 5 years in the Major Leagues. If he were doing something illegal to the ball, he certainly would have been discovered before now.

Chow!!
