If the end of life as we have enjoyed were thus eliminated, would you be glad that trivial news reporting was finally ended for a little while?

I don't wish the destruction of anyone, but if Iran persisted in the terrorist route that they are choosing to take, then I would be relieved that their country was no longer a threat. And unfortunately, if it took a nuclear strike to do it, then so be it.

I believe I would be petrified as in literally turned to stone, even though I believe my country of origin is perfectly capable of tossing a neutron bomb or two in the direction of a country I once called Persia. Thrilled? No, chilled is more like it, and I can already hear the chords of, "It's the End of the World as We Knew It" coming from the wings.
Quite possibly I am still shell-shocked by 9/11 which has attached a gossamer hate net to all countries Arab and my only counter to that is that I've learned a few phrases in Farsi, read the 1001 Tales of the Arabian Nights, use a video tape of belly dancing lessons which was manufactured in Iran and given to me by an Iranian-American gal pal and I am going to be utterly devastated and become a roaring alcoholic should the ashes of the birth-place of the flat-faced Persian and Exotic cats touch my face.
The classic film based on Ray Bradbury's "Farenheit 451" is currently searing my mind in reaction to your poignant question. What if instead of a book, I had to tell people, "I am Iran and I haven't even been there!"

Neither, probably surprised. I would only be fearful of the consequences of any country being nuked. There would for sure be some sort of counterattack by another country or if not from Iran itself. Some of their power plants are manned by Russians. Some plants are underground and very well protected. To prevent a return attack, the country or groups involved would have to absolutely make sure that all facilities were totally destroyed. I wouldn't be glad, and I wouldn't treat it lightly. I would think it would be another phase to WWIII, of which we are in now.

Horrified for all of the innocent people, thrilled for the destruction of terrorists.

I'd try to get out of this Country as FAST as I could (Here's an irony for you; there'd be a mass exodus of Americans- fleeing SOUTH across the mexican border! -In NO time, Mexico would be complaining about the "illegal gringos" entering their country from the north!). The U.S. would become an armed camp. Unfit for no one but Conservatives & terrorists.

How terrible...I'd be shocked. If something like that happened, I would think that even more new reports and stories would be made, reporting of the death and devastation. Overall, not good.

The one who mess up out there with time will get themselves kick on the butts by our creator in planet of apes.
Don't forget "It's a final countdown" had already begun with our creator out there in planet of apes.
Will not want to mess around with our creator out there in planet of apes.

I would be horrified. Simply because there is lost of life and many innocent people died for what?

Nuclear weapons should not exist, but unfortunately they do. Innocent (non-combatants) people always seem to disproportionately make up the death toll when armies fight.
