I would. well my embryos that is. I did IVf and i am now 23 weeks pregnant, i still have 7 embryos left, which i will probably only use 2 more. I will not have my embryos destroyed or donated to scientific research when there are women who medically cannot create her own or her partner can't. They are still babies and i will definitely donate my embryos that i don't use.

Sperm is much easier to donate than an egg is. All you have to do is spill in a cup if you're male. For a woman there is actually some surgery involved. Plus women only have a limited number of eggs while men can continuously produce sperm.

NOWAY, would I ever donate my eggs. Call me selfish if you want to. I know how hard it is to try and have a baby. I have pcos and have tried over 2 years and still nothing. I think that if you donate your eggs or your sperm, then you are responsible for that child. Just think. What if the person that used your eggs got with someone that is abusive and put that child through hell the rest of their lives???
If I really, really knew the person, like family or life long friends, then I might would consider it.

I would donate if I new the person and knew that they were going to be a good mother. I have a friend that can not have a baby because of her eggs and I have offered to donate mine. I am not sure though that I could donate to a stranger. I would definately want to know the person!

I would for sure. I have plenty of eggs and won't even use them all up my lifetime. I've thought about it before and have been seriously contemplating it lately because a few of my close friends can't conceive naturally. Men donate sperm all the time...

Yes, I would if we knew each other before hand and she asked.
Why? Because I think being a mother is one of the greatest joys we can experience, and if I can help someone experience it that otherwise would not get the chance, I wouldn't hesitate.
And I would consider the child hers, not mine. At most, I would feel like a special aunt. But the child would have been carried by her for nine months, be born by her, and be raised by her, so she would be the true mother. I would just be the donor.

No, because I have problems with reproductive medicine. I have never been in a position of wanting a baby and not being able to conceive, so I don't know how that feels. But I think way too many Dr.'s and parents are playing God. I am not sure where I draw the line. Hormone shots alone don't really bother me, but test tube babies do. Not a popular position, I know, but that's how I feel.

if i were younger, i would. if a woman is unable to have children, i think donating eggs is a small thing to do for her...if you want to be a mother, i think you should have that chance.

Selfish or not, I couldn't do it. Knowing there is a child out there that looks exactly like me and is genetically mine. I couldn't handle it. I am not saying that it is wrong or right just I couldn't do it.
