may be like aspects of Veda and Vedanta

"Ancient Shastras do give some step by step approach to Self-Realisation,something like First Reading more and more into Scriptures, then Comprehension, then Selfless Service,Observing Ourselves Within and Without,Vegetarianism,Jyoti Meditation, Acting on those what we have comprehended(thought, word and deed in line and harmony),Praise the Lord (Devotion).."

May be like the eight fold method "Yama, Niyama, Asana, Pranayama, Prathyahara, Dhyana, Dharana, Samadhi"

Also Bhakthi (the Devotion and Complete Surrender to the Lord), the Ultimate thing and the Great Leveller to see the whole of Humanity as One beyond the cast, creed and sex as put forward by Vedanta, to see Gold in whatever made of Gold, rather than the different names and forms made of Gold.

This analogy is good and understandable, but common people, they always want something to be felt around to appreciate their ego, they like discriminations one way or other way. They just refuse to be merged with the Divine Flow. For them step by step processes, the college education, the Vedas are necessary at least to keep them engaged with what is called Satwa Guna (The Quality of Good Practices) to avoid perhaps total social anarchy. May be in this world of Duality even Jesus Christ must have foreseen this and hence gave those Ten Commandments (The Vedas) that are bit difficult to practice common masses so that people at least think in those lines of Godhood.

So for a sensory world duality is something to be loved at least to set examples for some good practices in this world to uphold the VALUE systems that run this world.

Perhaps that's why Bhagavan once said,"One should start with Duality (Dvaita), thru Qualified Non-Duality ( Visishtadvaita ) to Absolute Non-Duality (Advaita)."

May be that is something to be experienced only, which can not be preached, So leave the Vedanta as a Concept ie once achieved, words keep mum and start the practice of Vedas, the five Human Values as Baba say and leave the rest to Him. Meekness and Hierarchial aspects are not that bad. Oneness (the Vedanta aspects) are something that are not practiced in Thought, Word and Deed even by you, if it is like that even you may not exist. That's why perhaps Shirdi Sai Baba said that the Great Knowers of Truth can only advice what "Ajnanam", the ignorance is. They can never tell what "Jnanam" is because THAT is something that was already there and gets unveiled when what ignorance is removed, just like the fire that brightens when ash above is removed with air. May that removal of ignorance, like the blow of air over fire is what the chanting of Divine Name continuously,Praising the Lord,Practicing Human Values, Vedas etc etc do for Enlightenment Deep Within. So, not saying to leave Vedanta, but strike a balance between Veda and Vedanta. An Inner and Outer Balance, Let's accept both Purusha and Prakruthi Concepts, let the Divine and Manifestation be in harmony for a good presentation, for some good practices in this world that is though Partial Reality, but felt Real by our senses.May be that's why the Sathya Sai Thought for the day is this,

"The mansion of human life rests on the four pillars of truth, righteousness, love and peace. The safety and security of life depend on these four values.Since ancient times, the culture of Bharat has been able to sustain itself as it is built on the bedrock of these values. Our ancestors led their lives strictly adhering to these eternal values. Bereft of these values, the mansion of life will collapse in a moment.Humanity continues to exist till this day only due to the fact that these four human values are practised at least to a certain extent.Today, the country is facing hardship as people have no regard for truth and are indulging in falsehood in their thoughts, words and deeds."
