Personally, I think how arechaeology and such is interpreted depends on who is doing the interpretation. If a Bible scholar is being paid by a bible college, or if Christianity and the idea of a literal interpretation part of his faith, then it is his job to "prove" that the Bible is accurate and true, and to skew the interpretation in that direction. I would expect a scholar who doesn't have a personal interest in proving the bible to offer a different interpretation. But then that could work in the other direction as well. If a scholar has an axe to grind, he could also be trying to prove the bible wrong, and skew his interpretation in that direction as well. Bottom line: Take every thing with a grain of salt. Be discerning about what information is set before you, regardless of the source. It all comes down to the point of view of the person interpreting it.

Personally, I believe the Bible is true and that it is to be taken literally.
Therefore, I believe that the prophets of the Bible are inspired by God.
Is it possible to twist a person's words? Yes it is.
For faith based issues, I believe it makes the most sense to pray to God, asking that he send the Holy Ghost to witness what you have studied is true or not.
That way your testimony can grow and it won't be based on whoever has the best argument.
Good luck in pondering this issue!!

The papacy is the oldest Intuition in the world .- How could it survived without the grace of God & the guidance of the Holy Spirit.........The Holy Spirit did not convert to Islam in 610AD or Lutheranism in 1517AD or Calvinism in 1540s AD ...There's no comparisons ..................The truth is , they Catholics give us the first Bible..the rest of religions intrepid it differently & formed counterfeit religion's groups...which inturn give us supermarket christens;.......pick & choose laws to suit themselves [ cool & new age stuff ] but has nothing to do with the scriptures....
