Personally, I hope that San Jose takes the cup. If Vancouver does, which is a strong possibility, it'll be on the back of Roberto Luongo. Florida must have been high when they traded him away. Luongo almost singlehandedly picked up the Canucks and put them on top of the NW division. The Sedin twins are also pretty talented.

I live in Vancouver. I'm just really happy the Canucks made it to the playoffs this year after last years miss. Everyone talks about Luongo, but to me, it's coach Alain Vigneault that is responsible for taking the Canucks this far and deserves the Jack Adams trophy. I hope Luongo doesn't choke like Cloutier always did in the playoffs. Look for Vigneault to make some unorthodox crazy moves in the playoffs. Eg. Putting Dany Sabourin unexpectedly in net, lol

Go Canucks!

I am ready!! Here on Vancouver Island. The Canucks look the best they have in a long time and can do it.

They have hotter goal tending than Dallas, better scoring depth and younger, healthier players. After round one anything can happen.

I agree that the playoffs are a different animal. That is why Pittsburgh and Detroit will be shot down in flames. But to the guy that talks about goal tending experience tell my how much playoff experience Ward had before his 15 wins last year? How much did Kipprusoff have the year before (15 wins).

The Canucks definitely have a chance to win the cup this year. We got Roberto Luongo, one of the two best goaltenders in the league. Our PP has also picked up in the last few games and with Roberto's goaltending, and the Sedins' timely PP goal, we could beat any team. We also have a great coach in Vigneault who presses all the right buttons.

And yes I live in Vancouver

The Canucks may be the odds on favorite to come out of the west. I'd be betting on them. I like their goaltending, team defense and they have some excellent power forwards. They finally got rid of the Bertuzzi cancer and they are on the right track. I live in Edmonton. I'll be cheering for the Canucks all the way. I remember the warm reception I got last year wearing my Oilers jersey in Vancouver during the Oilers playoff run last year. They have never won the cup and deserve it this year. Go Canucks go!!!!

I think the Canucks have what it takes to win the Cup. They are certainly riding one of the hottest goalies in the league right now in Luongo. The Sedin twins are clicking and its only a matter of time before Naslund does what he does best which should make their scoring attack even more formidable! Bieksa, Salo, and Ohlund round out their top 3 dmen and form a nice core of defense with grit, size, and offense. They are really gonna need that scoring from their team since their first round opponent is Dallas with their stingy defense. They managed 5 goals in game 1 so things are looking bright. Unfortunately it took 7 periods to do so.

Only if Luongo plays well. That has been Vancouver's downfall every season. They finally got rid of Swiss Cheese Cloutier, so they have a much better chance. Although, Naslund, Morrison, etc have also not been as impressive as they should be in the past.

In the West, I'm rooting for both Vancouver and Calgary.

And I wish I lived in Vancouver...

I don't think they even have a chance at winning the cup for atleast 10-20 yrs, just to many good American teams, and so little Canadian teams.

I'm cheering on Anaheim to win the cup this season, sense my Oilers are out of the po.
