we opened a new outpatient station at the hospital where I worked. We had no 'footies' or 'drink bottles' like I had seen at other facilities and were told we had no budget for them. i bought them myself to give the patients. I also made welcome signs for each room's corkboard, and put funny stickers on the patients I.V. They liked it.

There was a time when I went above and beyond in my job duties (was in the IT industry then) but I realized that it's not something that enriched me. You see, when you work for somebody, going above and beyond your job duties will not really prosper you. You prosper whoever owns the business. I grew up. I'd like to work so that I can empower other people.
