It's not wrong to think about death. In fact, it's completely normal to wonder about how life ends or what happens after death. However, if you are constantly considering killing yourself, that's a different situation. It's not bad to feel this way, but you deserve to feel better, and there are ways for you to do so. Since you're a student, your college probably has a counseling center. Go schedule an appointment and talk to a counselor about whatever is bothering you. She won't judge you, and it will be completely confidential. Often, just getting some of your thoughts off of your chest really helps. If you don't have a counseling center at your school, confide in someone you trust, such as a family member, friend, or priest. Remember that it's not your fault that you're feeling like this, and that just talking to someone can help you feel a whole lot better.

Dear Kushi,
It is not a situation of right or wrong. It is underlying Depression
you are living with and can be of mixed causes. When one is
familiar with their own mental health and well being, it is easier
to improve. Often, a mild anti-depressant by prescription is
called for. It takes two weeks to slip into a depression, two
weeks of being at rock bottom, and two months or more to
come out of it back to good health.
For all of one year, I awoke with a pillow wet from crying, not
sure why, for I could not recollect if I had dreamed. The wet
pillow began to awaken me quicker and bits of my worse
dream gave me a glimpse of my father dead. It continued to
reoccur with no way to stop it. One day, I saw a doctor for
another matter and I brought up the crying dream. It was
Depression unchecked for one year until I had a prescription
that magically helped stop it for good. Knowing what it is,
is the first step to recovery.

It certainly isn't good. The problem is, if you die, it leaves a hole for everyone that knows you. Everyone hurts more; that's bad. Whatever is hurting you right now may pass - things get better with time, but death is permanent.
Thinking about death could be a sort of safety valve, I guess, as long as you resolve to let it come in its own time, and not to do anything harmful to yourself.
The best thing to do with pain is to be able to talk about it with someone who will listen. Just sharing things that bother you with someone you trust can make them bother you less.
If you have nobody else to talk to, maybe talk to a tree in a quiet spot - the talking is for you to get things out in the open air so that you can look at them more clearly (if that makes any sense). Be patient! Good luck!
