I am told that I am an empath. I just feel I am intuitive, feel other people's emotions, people open up to me easily, and sensitive to other people's needs and feelings. I don't think I have some imagined magical powers or anything crazy. Does that make me empathic?

I don't know. I don't think that people can 'read' other people's minds or pick up on their thoughts. I think that maybe you just have a more sophisitcated and superior way of reading body language, etc.

You must be one of those people who is very in tune with the feelings of others. Yes, that is what it means to be an empath. I know I am that way, too, and it is even part of my job to be able to vibe into how people are feeling and help them work with it (corporate coaching). Strange though, when I am personally involved in a situation with someone, I find it hard to intuit their feelings / thoughts towards me. I can only do it via observing others in action with others...
