Ok, what we usually see are those silly crop circles which are in wheat fields or other grain crops. As if aliens having nothing better to do that hide and make intricate patterns in crops. Or their spacecraft, right... anyway, the gist of the question here is a tongue in cheek reference to the movie Signs. All the aliens were cavorting in and around corn fields. How come? A backhanded reference to Field of Dreams? Mel Gibson really dreamed it because of the death of his wife? Corn? Hmmm... would have made a good X-Files episode.
