I have known this woman for about three years now. She's a really good friend. The problem is, about two years ago, she got out of a really bad relationship, and we were hanging out every single night. I opened my mouth one night and told her that I had feelings for her, and I was attracted to her, but she said she didn't want to get in another relationship, which I understood. But now, two years later, I still can't get over the way I feel about her, and she's moved on, and is with someone else. She has no idea I still feel this way. Sometimes when I talk to her, she will call me baby, and she will say she loves me. I don't even think she realizes she's doing it. It hurts, but it would hurt more to end the friendship. What do I do? I'm so confused.

She's not with a man. She's a lesbian, just like me. And like I said, I don't think she realizes she's saying it, and if she is, I don't think she means it the same way I do.

leave things as they are. she obviously really does love you..but just not in the way that you would like. You laid your cards on the table once. She knows that and I'm sure she hasn't forgotten. The relationship that you are hoping for is not going to happen. Settle for a great friend..(sometimes a great friend can be better). :)

I think lesbians have a different way of talking and say things like Hey baby and a weird way of talking. Maybe she says she loves you like a Mother, sister, mother to a child, or just as best friend says I love you.

Dont listen to her and move on.All women say things like that to make others feel better and thats all.She MIGHT just mess around w/ you and thats about it.Move on.

That is such a difficult situation.

Only you can decide if you are better off staying with it or walking away.
Which way can you live with?

I live by the "communication is key" concept. I think you should tell her about it. It does no good for your mental and emotional health to keep it to yourself.

No good at all.
