you renew the passport when it's expired, replace when it's lost and dry when it's wet :)

It depends on how damage it has. If the front page with picture has small or slight damage on print & physical appearance, i recommend you renew it. You might be questioned at the immigration on your departure & also to your destination due to rampant tampered philippine passport.

It depends if it remains legible or not. If you can still read all the data field elements and view the picture clearly in it, I dont see why not.

My passport has taken not one, but two, dips in the ocean. It's warped and some threads are splayed off it, but I still use it with no problems at all.
