is it a stick or automatic trans mission? if it's a stick the clutch is shot or the plate froze up so that it won't release allowing power to go to the wheels. Is it still freezing? are the wheels frozen to the ground? is it automatic check the fluid level, you may have broken the radiator oil cooler for the trany and leaked the fluid out of it, because of freezing and not having enough antifreeze in the radiator. It is possible that a clutch cable or shift cable broke or froze as well. Hope this helps ya.

Check that there is enough fluid in the transmission . Also check that the linkage has not fallen apart. These are simple things to fix, BUT it may be that that your transmission was on its last legs and had to work extra hard in the blizzard and now has had it. This could be expensive

check your tranny fluid levels first. make sure there is enough.
fluids. Fluids contract in cold weather and if you were low to begin with, maybe it is just enough to starve the filter. Also if your clutch packs are really worn and barely engaging cold weather could be just enough to make them not engage, but you probably would of noticed th condition before. Finally the tranny fluid could be too thick and you should let the car warm up for a while in park (not drive!!!) Hope i could help

you may be low on transmission fluid. Start the engine and check the fluid level. If there is nothing on the stick then you need to add it. Add it slowly and check it untill it reads full on the cold line. then see if the car moves. If your fluid level is correct then your transmission is shot and you need to have it rebuilt or replaced.

Maybe you are stuck in a snowbank and your wheels really are turning, but you are not moving. Did you actually look to see if the wheels were turning?

probably your transmission is shot (expensive), or you may have forgotten to release the emergency brake, or the emergency brake cable is broken (cheap).
Unfortunately, if the engine is revving and the wheels ain't turning , the odds are its your transmission.

Several possibilities
check transmission fluid. (best possible solution).
check linkage from shifter to transmission.
Transmission needs rebuilding.
