Jordan is now a part-owner of the Bobcats. He has demanded not to be included in the team marketing champaignes as he wants to focus on his task and not to steal the thunder of the team, even though the team wasn't doing well at the moment.

Tyronious is correct.
Jordan is in the NBA Live 2003 edition, both as a member of the Wizards and as an "All Decade" player of the 1990s team.
But yeah, Jordan won't allow the NBA or video manufacturers to use his name or likeness. As for his fans, well, screw them (Michael's attitude, not mine).
If the NBA live game still allows you to "create" a player, then creating a Michael Jordan shouldn't be too tough...just give him very high skill level values in all areas (except 3 point shooting ).

I believe I answered this question with someone else, but I'm not sure what year it was...I want to say 1991 or 92. Jordan legally stripped the NBA from using his "likeness" on any NBA licensed merchandise. Any product licensed by the NBA cannot used his facial features, his name even his "Air Jordan" nickname all of that became his own brand by Nike.
Coincidentally, other players like Barkley, Drexler & Patrick Ewing followed suit but later gave that right back to the league.
I am a huge Jordan fan, but to me from a fan's standpoint the worst mistake he ever made 2nd to retiring.

Jordan has not been in any video games that I can remember, but he may have been in a very very few. It is like he has a contract or maybe he doesn't want to be in video games so he doesn't allow them to put him in there.
But... in th older games that he should be in, there are a few with a player that is simply called Player and he is number 99. For some odd reason this player is awesome. So if you come across a player like that, then just think of that person as jordan.
But I doubt he will ever be in any new games...

Yeah, it's some contractual thing with the Jordan brand or something. I do remember him being in NBA Live 99 (when they introduced the all decade teams) thru NBA Live 2003. After that I think he hasn't been in any video games.

Let's see the reason you don't see him bouncing a ball is that he is retired, and he did that like years ago lol. He owned and ran some teams into the ground like the Wizards with that Kwame Brown debacle. And now he part owner and in charge of basketball operations for the Bobcats.

You guys are completely overlooking the fact that he was never in any basketball VIDEO GAMES, ever (maybe one, maybe.) I wish I had the answer for you, I used to hate playing with Ron Harper on NBA JAM '92 (I think it was). But yeah he was never on any of the NBA Live's, 2K Series, NBA JAM (Old school), Showtime, none of them. Usually they would just replace him with #99 or something lame like that. Weird. Wish I could tell you why bro.

He/She means that he is not in any of the all star teams and he does not appear in any of the records. i don't know why this is maybe because he didn't want to be in the games NBA live and 2k.

He probably wanted to charge the companies for using him in their games. Our he probably didn't agree to appear on the cover of the games back in the ninties, so they decided to not put him in the game.
