When you take out some aspects of politics I feel like you Reps/cons have no basis for some of your ideas. Example: Gay marriage. How do you rationalize depriving a group of people the same rights that you have, based soley on their sexual orientation, and do you not agree that that is outright discrimination? You make grand statements about "the institution of marriage", etc, but marriage is a right that you're barring fom gays. Most of your absurd arguments on this go back to Adam and Eve, and it pisses me off when u bring religion into politics, especially since they weren't even married.
So please don't give me dismally idiotic statements like "It's Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve", or I will lose even more respect for you like I did for a kid at camp who said that to me. And don't think you're being clever if you are the idiot who does what I told you not to.
How do you justify positions like this? How do you justify not allowing gays to marry?
By the way, I'm 15 n strate

They have no clue what they are talking about. Gay marriage cannot be banned on the federal level because it is considered a contract and is written into the tax code. To ban gays form entering into a contract that heterosexuals can enter into would be unconstitutional.

The United States was founded on Christians. Most laws were based around believes from the bible. Laws like thou shalt not kill or steal. The bible clearly describes marriage as between a man and a women. Not 2 men or women. Homosexual has been perverted since the begining of time. Yes God made Adam and Eve. If he had ment for there to be a Adam and Eve he would have created two men. If you are a man that is gay, remember that if it was not for yuor mother you would not be here to ask questions. The laws in this country were wrote by God fearing people. Poeople that believes in the words of the Bible. When you have a sinngle man and a women they can live together but they are not married. Gays can do the same. As much as you think it is your right to be married it is their right to deny marriage. You can't take religion out of marriage. Marriage came religion. Many laws came from religios people. The government give you the freedom to choose to be with a gay partner. The government don't have to condone it. Any church will tell you how it is wrong.

OK 2 guys are sharing an apt. for 4 yrs of college they see that if gay marriage is legal they can get alot of money from their taxes However they are not gay they just find a loop that will give them all these marital benefits??? So now there is more divorce going on plugging up the courts 2 1 party does not agree that a car they bought was his b/4 the marriage;ie gets hostile. 3 They got health insurance and the gov pays part 1 man is finishing college in 4 yr the other is not, he either goes onto more schooling or wants to marry a female??? more hostility?? You want a straight answer, well here it is, hope you can handle it. First of all, everyone says if you don't agree with gays and lesbians then your a homophopic, B.S. Phobic means a fear of I don't fear gays, I disagree with their choices, and thats its exactly what it is a choice, and don't get me wrong alot of my friends are gay, and I feel sorry for them. Back on point, you liberals act like being gay is some sort of race, which it is not. Its simply a sexual orientation. Next thing you ask for is special laws to protect you because you have brown hair or blue eyes, or even better we need to make special parking places for left handers, give me a break, where will it stop. Marriage is defined as social institution uniting men and women in special forms of mutual dependence for the purpose of founding and maintaining a families!!!!! But Gays and lesbians can live together in perfect harmony and no one will say a thing, but it seems your not happy unless everyone in America agrees and accepts your way of life. Well guess what, its not going to happen, enjoy your life and get over it. And it seems to bother you that Converatives like myself always invoke religion in the conversation, don't worry, I'm not going to. You need to understand as a young adult. America was founded and is run with God always with us. He is on our money, coins and dollars. He is in our anthem, and by the way don't ever think of trying to take his name out of our national anthem, because there are Millions of soldiers and veterans who would die before his name is removed. And he's in the pledge of allegience. Thats the reason we feel to invoke his name. But if you do a little research you'll see that liberals invoke his name whenever it benefits them. The bottom line is no matter how much you try to shove the homosexual line down our throats, there are us in America that can't swallow it. But don't worry, this will be an issue until your my age.

If there is a God and He created the world, he created Man and Woman. Marriage was not an issue They were produced for each other. There were limits on this creation, and to go against the limits have results. I do not believe this God, created other lifestyles, our sins have. Sexual orientation, may well be NOW ingrained and biological, Making for a strong secular case .....YES However it doesn't mean this God excepts this deviation from his plan or that it not a sin. if you read the Bible It explains what is sin. The problem we all face is God's plans may not have changed ,but we have. What if He expects us to adjust to his desires, no matter what we have done to disrupt it. This is the real question, and we have no real answer.

I am 16, straight, and conservative. I don't think this is necessarily a conservative idea, but an orthodox Christian idea. While their political ideas got them voted to office, we also have to deal with these representatives moral standards, whether we like it or not.

How do I justify positions like this? I don't. You don't get it, and I don't feel a need to justify anything to you. You wouldn't understand anyway.
It's majority rule. Suck it up, and live with it.
